During this time of year, you can be certain that temperatures drop, leaves fall, days get shorter, and The First National Bank in Trinidad is busy making final preparations for its 36th annual open house and calendar distribution.

The 2022 Historic Collector’s Series Calendar will be available on a first come, first served basis at the open house set for Friday, December 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. only at the main bank in Trinidad. Plans will be a little different again this year with the desire to keep everyone safe and healthy. Guests may visit the bank lobby to pick up calendars and a prepackaged plate of cookies.

Although there will be no open house held at the Huerfano County Branch in Walsenburg or The Loan Production Office in Raton this year, residents are encouraged to stop by to pick up your calendar, which will be available starting December 3rd at all branch locations in Trinidad, Walsenburg and Raton. The 2022 calendar is distributed as a free gift to the community while supplies last.

The 2022 calendar entitled “Generations of Homestyle Cooking” represents The First National Bank in Trinidad’s 36th Annual Historic Collector’s Series Calendar. Over the past thirty-five years, the calendars have covered a variety of historic subjects from neighborhood grocery stores, to how we made do when we had to do without, but the stories of family recipes shared through generations has not yet been explored in this publication. “During a time when spending time at home with family has become more important than ever, sharing mealtime memories and favorite recipes seemed an appropriate topic for this season,” says Bank Vice President and Marketing Officer, Chris Egland. “In this calendar, we’ll experience a taste of the past and learn how family traditions focused around mealtime bring everyone together. There’s even a tear out page of 12 recipes to file in your recipe box!”

The First National Bank in Trinidad cordially invites all area residents and guests to attend the open house in Trinidad. “The annual event, which has become a wonderful tradition for area residents, will look a bit different again this year,” remarks Ms. Egland, “but we hope people will still come for a calendar and a plate of homemade holiday cookies.”  The event is planned for Friday, December 3rd, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 E. Main Street in Trinidad.  Come join the celebration!
