Scam Alert-Mini Banner.jpg

Attempts to commit fraud and identity theft are on the rise.

Our customers are reporting receiving telephone calls in an attempt to obtain payment information, with the caller claiming to be from a prominent telephone service provider. They use the excuse that the customer’s card has been blocked for payment, and request to get new card information over the phone. This is a classic phishing attempt to get access to your card information. If you receive a phone call from anyone asking for your card information, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION!   Hang up and contact the service provider using their known telephone number from a recent invoice you have received. Report the fraud to them and verify that your payment information they have on file is correct. Also, please contact The First National Bank in Trinidad to report such activity by calling 719-846-9881, or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. It is also recommended that you report the attempt to the FTC consumer information site at: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1.
