  SPECIAL NOTICE TO SAVINGS ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS: To provide relief from the financial events associated with COVID-19, we have suspended the enforcement of the six transfer limit on savings accounts, allowing our customers an unlimited number of convenient transfers and withdrawals from their savings account. This temporary suspension of this limitation will be in force for six months beginning April 30, 2020. Savings withdrawal fees over six transactions still apply.

Coronavirus Update from The First National Bank in Trinidad

An important update for our valued customers,

We are working toward gradually re-opening all of our Bank locations while taking precautionary steps to help protect our customers and our employees.  Because some offices lend themselves better to social distancing, not all Bank lobby locations will be   re-opening at the same time.

Beginning June 2, 2020, the following bank lobbies will be open at 50% capacity during normal business hours:

Main Bank - 100 East Main Street, Trinidad

Motor Bank - 122 East First Street, Trinidad

Wal-Mart Branch - 2921 Toupal Drive, Trinidad

The Huerfano County Branch - 135 West 6th Street, Walsenburg

If you plan to visit a Bank lobby, our team is taking extra precautions to frequently sanitize our facilities, including countertops, pens and kiosks between customers, based on recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and other health professionals.  We ask that customers wear a mask and practice social distancing while in the Bank.  If you are showing symptoms of illness, have been around anyone who has been ill, or are at high risk, we recommend you do not visit the bank lobby.   You may also call to schedule an appointment to avoid waiting inside the lobby:

We encourage customers to continue to use online or mobile banking services whenever possible to reduce or eliminate the handling of money and paper checks that could possibly carry the virus.  The motor banks, ATMs, and bank-by-phone services are also available as alternatives to lobby usage. 

The Loan Production office in Raton will continue to be closed until further notice, with access by appointment only.

  1. Lobby Access:  These lobby locations are open at 50% capacity during normal business hours: Trinidad Main Bank, Trinidad Motor Bank, Trinidad Wal-Mart Branch and Huerfano County Branch in Walsenburg.   The First National Loan Production Office in Raton remains temporarily closed, and can be accessed by appointment.  
  2. Motor Bank Hours:  In Trinidad and Walsenburg from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
  3. Loans Online: Loan applications are available online at www.fnbtrinidad.com.
  4. Loans by Appointment or by Phone: New and modified loan applications are available over the phone, or in person during regular banking hours. Please call to visit with a loan officer.
