Two Bank Employees Honored for Milestone Anniversaries
The First National Bank in Trinidad has been part of the foundation of Trinidad since 1875. Many employees have come and gone since it was established 144 years ago. Of the 63 employees working for First National Bank, 19 have worked there for 20 or more years, leaving their mark on the institution that was formed one year before Colorado became a state, and four years before Trinidad was incorporated. Two individuals celebrated milestone anniversaries with the organization this month.
In 1979 Robin Cirone took a job with First National Bank where she worked as a bookkeeper, teller, CD clerk, and loan teller. By July 1989, she was working as a data entry clerk. She later moved on to work in collections for four years, followed by her promotion to a loan officer and Vice President. In December of 2000 she was promoted to head of operations and human resources, which is the position she holds today. Robin is an invaluable employee who oversees employees and operations at all four branches of the bank. She is a very dedicated and knowledgeable member of management who has supervised countless conversions of systems within the bank that have assisted in its overall growth and success. Altogether, Robin has worked in banking for 41 years including the year she worked for a savings and loan in La Junta, Colorado. She recently celebrated her 40-year anniversary with The First National Bank in Trinidad. In her spare time, Robin enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her husband Ron.
Sheila Duran started her career at First National Bank on July 26, 1999 in the bookkeeping department. Then in 2003 she moved to a position in loan processing where she worked for a year before moving back to the bookkeeping department. She was promoted to Assistant Head Bookkeeper in March 2007 and to Assistant Vice President in February 2008, which is the position she currently holds. Her many years of experience in the bookkeeping department ensure that things run smoothly on a day-to-day basis with accuracy and precision. Sheila has been married to her husband TJ for 25 years. Together they have 3 daughters, Gabbie, Jacquie and Kaitlynn. She is looking forward to what the future holds for her at First National and enjoys spending time with her family and friends during her free time.
Both of these employees are valued staff members and their many years of dedication and service were acknowledged at a luncheon recently held in their honor where they received a gift in recognition of their years of service. When it comes to strength, stability and longevity, First National has stood the test of time through generations of change in Trinidad, and its dedicated employees are an asset in achieving its goal of being the best at serving the community.
