Business Spotlight
Animal House

It's been several years since Raton had a feed and ranch store that's until last December when Denny and Dolores Fernandez opened Harvest Headquarters. Now, livestock operators and pet owners can once again save time and fuel costs by shopping locally. The outlet carries a complete product line of vet supplies, vaccines, and dewormers for dogs, cats, horses, and livestock, as well as common rodent bait, feeders, cages, heated pet bowls and tank de-icers during winter months. You will find Richie water hydrants, tubs, and frost-free systems already installed, and a complete selection of horseshoes, nails and related items. When branding season comes pick up ear tags, castrating rings and dehorning paste. Some of the tack in stock includes cactus rope (official rope of the PRCA) Weaver leather products, halters, saddle blankets, cantle, rope bags, and work gloves. Their feed supply brands are Farmway Feeds and La Junta Mill with cattle cubes and feed for horses, swine, poultry, dogs, cats and wild birds. Harvest Headquarters is your local dealer for Vitaliz lick tubs. All merchandise is competitively priced and the Fernandezes stand behind all their products; in fact they use them in their cow and calf operation 40 miles southeast of Raton at Palo Blanco. Plans are underway for another location in the future with an expanded inventory to meet customer demand.
