11/21/14: Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care is hosting the 6th annual Reflections Celebration and Tree Lighting at Mt. Carmel Health, Wellness and Community Center on Wednesday, November 21st, from 6 to 8 p.m. This celebration will honor the special people who have touched the lives of cancer patients, and remember deceased loved ones who will remain forever in our hearts. Special musical performances and refreshments will be served. Mt. Carmel/Hospice memorial bricks and memorial ornaments for loved ones will also be available. 11/28/14: Hometown Holidays annual event The City Hall Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, November 28th at 5:15 p.m. with St. Nicholas.
11/29/14: Hometown Holidays annual Parade of Lights in downtown Trinidad will take place on Saturday, November 29th beginning at 6:00 p.m.
11/29/14: Mt. Carmel Community Center will have their 2nd Annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any interested vendors, call (719)845-4894.
12/03/14: The annual Holiday Cookie Exchange and open house will be held at Mt. Carmel Health, Wellness and Community Center on Wednesday, December 3rd. The event begins in the morning with cookie deliveries to residents at the Trinidad Inn and Legacy Assisted Living Center with special guests including soldiers from Ft. Carson. In the afternoon, the community is invited to the Holiday Cookie Exchange and Open House at Mt. Carmel Community Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with performances by area preschool children, a visit from Santa Claus, Ft. Carson soldiers and veteran Bronco football player, Randy Gradishar. 12/05/14: Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre presents a Melodrama at the Famous Performing Arts Center, 131 W. Main Street, Trinidad - show details to be announced. 12/09/14: AgeWise Advisors, LLC invites all caregivers to attend a Caregiver Support Group at LaQuinta Inn and Suites Wellness Hotel in Trinidad on December 9, and the second Tuesday of every month, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This support group is for family members, friends, and loved ones involved in providing care for someone who is frail or ill. Exchange practical information on caregiving problems and possible solutions, talk through challenges and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns, and learn about resources available to you. 11/29/14: Santa Comes To Town at Ripley Park in Raton on Saturday, November 29th at 3:00 p.m. Goody bags will be given out, and a girls' and a boys' bike will be given away. The Lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Ripley Park. The City of Bethlehem lighting at Climax Canyon will take place at dusk. The Festival of Lights on Historic First Street in Raton, line up between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., street lights out and Festival begins at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Businesses will stay open late, and shoppers get triple value for "receipt saver" during festival hours. Food vendors will also be on hand.
11/29/14: "Calling All Flakes!" Snow Celebration will be held at the Angel Fire Resort at the base of the ski area on Saturday, November 29th. Enjoy listening to holiday music, munching on cookies and peeking through the park telescope. Bring the kids to visit with Santa! Be sure to dress warmly.
