08/31/14: Trinidad's 104th Annual Round-Up weekend continues on Sunday, August 31 with the rodeo at 1:30 p.m. and "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day," featuring the Westernairs at the Las Animas County Fairgrounds. 09/01/14: Trinidad's 104th Annual Round-Up weekend wraps up on Monday, September 1 with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Sebastiani Gym at 7 a.m. followed by the "Keep It Rollin" parade downtown beginning at 9 a.m. Rodeo begins at 1:30 p.m., featuring the Westernairs at the Las Animas County Fairgrounds. 09/13/14: Fishers Peak Horse Association (FPHA) offers affordable equine events to the Las Animas County community, which include all breed horse shows, trail rides, clinics, fun days, barrel races and good ole family fun. The All Breed Horse Shows offer events for children under 5 years of age, 8 and under, 9 to 13, 14 to 18, and 19 and over, and will be held at the Las Animas County Fairgrounds in Trinidad on September 13th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to spectators. 09/18/14: The 3rd Annual TrindieFest Film Festival is a 4-day event which runs September 18th through 21st. Purchase tickets for a single event, or in 1-day to 4-day packages at www.trindiefest.org.
09/24/14: Southeast Rural Philanthropy Days will come to Trinidad September 24th through 26th. This three-day conference is for non-profit professionals, public agencies, elected officials, business leaders and funders to learn from one another and collaborate on projects and funding opportunities. Residents from Baca, Bent, Crowley, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero and Prowers counties are invited to participate. Mark your calendar, and get ready for the non-profit event of the year!
